Abstract

The experience of the fisherfolk of Masinloc and Oyon Bay shows the hardship they faced in managing their coastal resources and engaging their respective local government. It also displays the various efforts made by the fisherfolks to push for their right for a sustainable livelihood through proper management of their natural capital. The paper provides a list of recommendations, that need to be taken into consideration while reviewing the local and national policies.
