Abstract

Along the Dakshina Kannada and Uddupi coasts, the intertidal rocky stretches from Someshwara Uchila to Ullai (south of Mangalore; Surathkal; Padubidri; Kaup to Maple; Gangoli to Byndoor and Bhatkal to Jali (north of Mangalore)harbour green mussel, Perna viridis.
