Abstract

The only independent NGO in South Africa working with small-scale and traditional fishing and coastal communities in the west and south coasts of the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal. Work includes extensive fieldwork, action research, advocacy and lobbying initiatives, information gathering and dissemination, training and capacity building as well as networking with regional and international organizations working with small-scale fishing communities.
