Abstract

IMO is to send expert missions to selected countries to discuss the prevention and suppression of piracy and armed robbery against ships. The missions will be followed by regional seminars planned to be held for selected countries in South-East Asia, South and Central America, West Africa and the Indian Ocean. The first such seminar is scheduled to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in October 1998.
