Abstract

Recently the innovative gear Ring seine (Ring vala) is introduced in Kakinada for pelagic fishing. It is made of silk yarn having a total length of about 315-350 m and breadth of about 34-40 m.This Gear started operation from this year along the coast of Pampodipeta, Kothapeta, Yelliahpeta, Dhaniahpeta, Narsipeta,Perumallapuram, Konapapapeta and Uppada.
