Abstract

Earlier exploratory survey conducted by CMFRI, CIFNET, erstwhile Indo- Norwegian Project and Pelagic Fisheries Project, Cochin, Fishery Survey of India and Dept. of Ocean Development have indicated the potential abundance of deep sea fishes and crustaceans in the depth range of 200-450m along the slope of south – west and south – east coast of India.
