Abstract

Australia’s Oceans Policy was released by Senator Richard Hill, Minister for the Environment, on 23 December 1998. The policy is in two volumes with the first setting out the goals and principles guiding the policy, the way in which improved planning the management of Australia’s oceans interests will be undertaken and some of the key initiatives and areas of action that will be pursued by the government.
