Abstract

At the close of the 52nd meeting of the International Whaling Commission, the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) welcomed governments’ commitment to maintain the global whaling moratorium firmly in place, while setting the timetable for the completion of a strong management system for whales to replace the current weak and outdated one.
