Abstract

The Prime Minister, the Right Hon. John Howard, has signed Australia on to an historic Pacific fisheries convention for management of the world’s most valuable fishery – the $A3.4 billion per annum Western and Central Pacific fishery for tuna and other highly migratory fish stocks.
