Abstract

At a conference on Maritime Security organised by Canadian Maritime Forces Pacific in Victoria in September 2006, it became apparent that the challenges of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing are increasingly being confronted by the world’s leading maritime countries as part of a much larger rubric.
