Abstract

The October/December 2000 issue of Appropriate Technology includes an article about former combatants in Mindanao, Philippines turning to seaweed farming instead of conflict. The area was the scene of a twenty-year conflict between the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the government. The conflict ended with the signing of a peace agreement in 1996.
