Abstract

The global crisis in fisheries is a powerful simplification necessary to stimulate resistance to the conditions that foster destructive fishing practices. It is imperative, however, that the crisis be represented in a way that allows for a diversity of experiences of crisis if it is to serve as an effective organizing force.
