On 16 August 2010, the ASEAN, SEAFDEC and the Department of Fisheries of Thailand jointly held the Second Press Conference for the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Conference on Sustainable Fisheries for Food Security Towards 2020 to be organized from 13 to 17 June 2011 at the Sofi tel Centara Grand Bangkok Hotel in Thailand. D u r i n g t h e S e c o n d Press Conference, the representative from the ASEAN Secretariat Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, the Deputy Director-General of the DOF of Thailand Dr. Nuntiya Unprasert, the Executive Directer of the ASEAN Foundation, Dr.Filemon Uriarte, Jr., and the SecretaryGeneral of SEAFDEC Dr. Chumnarn Pongsri were at hand to reveal the plans and the progress of the preparatory works for the conduct of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Conference.
