Abstract

This paper is based on a keynote presented on behalf of the Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities to outline some key aspects of Australia’s policy approach to management of marine ecosystems, covering both international aspects in the context of Rio+20 preparations and Australia’s domestic marine bioregional planning process, which is due to be completed during 2012.
