Abstract

Olive ridley sea turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea) are well known for their huge nesting aggregations. During the breeding season, thousands of olive ridleys congregate in favourable coastal waters and synchronised nesting involving thousands of individuals take place in suitable nesting beaches.
