Abstract

From 4 to 7 December 2001, the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized an International Symposium on Biodiversity Management and Sustainable Development in the LancangMekong River Basin. The symposium was held in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China and was cosponsored by the World Bank. More than 100 participants, mostly from the countries in the Mekong River region, attended the gathering.
