Abstract

The Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA), Bhubaneswar, India is a premier institute involved in research, training extension and education for more than two decades. CIFA has developed a number of technologies in the areas of freshwater aquaculture like freshwater pearl culture, prawn culture, catfish farming, carp breeding and culture, flow-through system, genetically improved rohu, fish feed for carp, catfish and prawn, organic farming, fish health and disease control and aquatic microbiology.
