Abstract

Senior aquatic resources research managers/planners from 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific region (Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Samoa, Sri Lanka and Thailand) and representatives of regional and international organizations (FAO, ICLARM, NACA and SEAFDEC) met in Penang, Malaysia from 26- 29 March 2001 under the auspices of the Asia-Pacific regional forum, Group of Fisheries and Aquatic Research (GoFAR). This meeting was convened by ICLARM-The World Fish Center.
