Abstract

Common carp stocks (Sarwas P3 and wild Amur) from Hungary were shipped to the University of Agriculture Sciences, Bangalore, India in early June 2000. The strains, which are presently being maintained at the Fisheries Research Station, Hesaraghatta, will be used in the genetic improvement of common carp in Karnataka state, India.
