Abstract

Held in the beautiful landscape of Victoria Falls along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River in Zimbabwe, academicians, donors, practitioners, policymakers, government decisionmakers and NGOs met on 17 to 21 June 2002 to discuss the development and challenges of studying and managing common pool resources (more commonly known as the commons). More than 200 delegates from various countries came to present papers and discuss ‘The Commons in an Age of Globalization’, the conference theme.
