Abstract

This book seeks to provide information on, and explore, a range of tools and approaches that have been employed to achieve ‘equitable’ partnerships. In a world permeated by social, economic and political inequality, and undergoing rapid globalization and transformation of economic, legal and scientific relations, ‘equity’ – a dynamic, culturally framed concept – is clearly difficult to approximate in practice.
