Abstract

IASCP is and always has been an international organization (hence the “I”). The Common Property Conferences held every 2 years or so typically bring together people from all over the world. The elected membership of our Executive Council includes members from South America, India, Africa, Europe, and North America. Thus it was a surprise to be asked by representatives of the Ford Foundation to “globalize” IASCP. That request forced us to admit that despite our international status, only one Conference was held in the Third World, the Philippines.
