Abstract

The experimental farming at Karwar, Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute achieved a record growth rate for Seabass. Seabass seeds with an average weight of 9 g. were introduced in the cage maintained in the marine farm of CMFRI on 01st February 2010. Feeding was done thrice a day with chopped oil sardines. Initially oil sardines were chopped into very small pieces and were fed. As the fish grew the size of the feed was increased.
