Abstract

During the months of January and February of 2010, heavy landings of ribbonfish, Trichiurus lepturus and cephalopod, Loligo duvaucelli were recorded from multiday trawlers at Bhidiya, Veraval. The catch ranged from 600 – 1000 kg per trawler for Trichiurus lepturus and from 800 – 1000 kg per trawler for Loligo duvaucelli.
