Abstract

This paper examines the effectiveness of the Memorandum of Understanding between Australia and Indonesia in providing for recognition of indigenous Bajo fishing rights, sustainable marine resource conservation and management, and in curbing illegal Bajo fishing activity in the Australian Fishing Zone.
