Abstract

Although the road to socially equitable and sustainable fisheries is sometimes described as a bumpy one (see SAMUDRA for Pondy, 24 July 2014, pg 1), it is certainly helpful if there are good tools for smoothing the way. Of course, like so many things in life, success depends much on how we use these tools.
