Abstract
Annapolis, the capital of thestate of Maryland, US, founded in 1649 with a population of 39,000 people near Washington, D.C. is worth a visit for ocean and seafood lovers. It was an excellent place to host an event that brought together 100 people from the five continents representing the fisheries supply chain, certification organizations, fishing and fish-farming communities in developing countries, NGOs, foundations, international cooperation agencies, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the World Bank, besides UN organizations and government representatives.
