Abstract
Marine Fisheries Census was conducted during February 2016 in nine coastal districts of Kerala namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulum, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod. The scope, time frame, and terms used are described in Marine Fisheries Census 2016 India Report. The significant features observed from the census data are summarized below.
