Abstract

Marine Fisheries Census 2016 of Union Territory (U.T.) of Lakshadweep was carried out in its 10 inhabited islands namely, Agatti, Amini, Andrott, Bitra, Chetlat, Kadmat, Kalpeni, Kavaratti, Kiltan and Minicoy. The scope, time frame, and terms used are described in Marine Fisheries Census 2016 India Report. Summary of significant features noted from the census data collected from these islands are given below.
