Abstract

Marine Fisheries Census 2016 was carried out during the time stamp February 2016 and it encompassed all the districts of coastal Maharashtra, reorganized to be seven from the earlier five viz. Palghar, Thane, Mumbai Suburban, Mumbai City, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. The scope, methodology, reference interregnum and connotation and sense of terms used in the report may be seen in detail in Marine Fisheries Census 2016 India Report.
