Abstract

The Marine Fisheries Census was carried out in Andhra Pradesh during February 2016 as a part of the National Marine Fisheries Census 2016. There are nine coastal districts in Andhra Pradesh viz., Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore. The scope, time frame, and terms used are described in Marine Fisheries Census 2016 India Report. Important features revealed by the census are summarized below.
