Abstract

The EMFF implementation report 2020 describes how the available EMFF financial support has been put to use by the Member States. The impact of the EMFF on key policy objectives and specific topics is highlighted. Reporting is based on the latest data available, which pertains to all operations supported between January 2014 and December 2020. The report aggregates and analyses the data provided by Member States on each operation (via Infosys reporting). Additional context is taken from information provided by Member States in their Annual Implementation Reports (AIRs). During its sixth year, implementation of the EMFF continued to advance as expected, despite the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The EMFF Regulation was amended to provide emergency support to counter the negative effects of the pandemic. The uptake of these measures is addressed further below.
