Abstract

This 2024 document of the European Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Advisory Commission (EIFAAC) describes progress made by EIFAAC in 2023 and 2024 towards implementing its workplan and showcases news from EIFAAC Members, such as new policies, new legislation, new studies, and innovations in aquaculture and inland fisheries production and management. The document also promotes the International Symposium on “Building a sustainable future for inland fisheries and aquaculture in a time of multiple stressors", which is scheduled to take place in Pula, Croatia on 7-9 October 2024, and promotes FAO's Blue Transformation in the European region.
