This research is based on the perspective of people that engages a large group of marine and coastal resource users, such as coastal communities and small-scale fishing groups. In order to meaningfully participate in managing and accessing marine and coastal resources, there must be social responsibility to encourage a transformation in production practices and consumption patterns. This will contribute to the conservation of marine and coastal resources towards sustainability while also securing economic value at the same time. Resolving this issue requires the support and cooperation of all sectors, including governments, the private sector, local authorities, community members, tourists, and advocates.
