Little is known about the way fishers perceive climate change in small island states. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain data from Antigua in the Caribbean and Efate in the South Pacific. Fishers perceived that there were changes in precipitation, temperature and wind speed. Fishers' perception did not always match the meteorological data but implemented adaptation measures. This study will add to the limited knowledge of how fishers are adapting to climate change in Small Island Developing States.
