Abstract

This study worked directly with fishing communities to understand who is involved in the small-scale fishing industry and what factors contribute to drowning risks for different groups. Fishers from the communities included are small-scale fishers with poor living condition and are heavily reliant on fishing to sustain their living, Occupational injury and death are widespread throughout the fishing communities.
