Abstract

This study focuses on: the degree to which lack of information is an impediment to effective fisheries management and development, long term potential contribution of research to the economic and social progress of the sector in developing countries, evaluates the capability of the developing countries to undertake research needs. This also provides information on the strategy for International Fisheries research.
