Abstract

The final version of the report of the Twenty-fifth Session of the Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC), held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 15 to 24 October 1996. Major topics discussed were: environmental aspects of responsible fisheries; the state of fisheries and aquaculture in Asia and the Pacific; future role of APIFC in fishery management in the region; and the proposed amendments to the APFIC Agreement and Rules of Procedure.
