Abstract

The fishing boats of the world of all types, shapes and sizes, represent the largest single collective investment in the world's fishing industry. Upon their efficiency of design and operation depends the economy of millions of people and the lives of an untold number of fishermen. This book contains the experience of specialist from most parts of the world in which fishing is carried out, and it is a symposium of to-day's knowledge of fishing boat design and construction. This deals with boat types, naval architecture, engineering and factory ships.
