Abstract
During a recent 5,000-mile, six-week, soul-searching journey across the length of Africa—through Egypt, Sudan, Congo, Angola, Namibia and South Africa—Kenyan June Arunga found a reason why so many of her African neighbours are mired in poverty: boundaries and the law raise barriers to free trade. At a March 30 showing of excerpts of her documentary, “The Devils’ Footpath,” at the CATO Institute, a thinktank in Washington, D.C.
