This monograph starts with a brief account of different types of IPRs including a brief overview of the WTO TRIPS Agreement. It also focuses on biodiversity and its relationship with the IPR regime. The benefits of biodiversity and CBD, biotechnology and the relationship between the CBD and the WTO TRIPS Agreement have been analysed. Issues relating to biopiracy and its relationship with traditional knowledge and other forms of IPRs have been dealt with. The relevant Indian laws in this respect and context have been explained in brief.
