Abstract

Small-scale fishing communities are often some of the most vulnerable communities to disaster risks and climate change. This short, animated video shows impacts on small-scale fisheries – and what can be done. One of the goals of the Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries in the Context of Food Security and Poverty Eradication (SSF Guidelines) is to call on states and other actors to take urgent and ambitious action to mitigate disaster risks and climate change impacting small-scale fisheries.
