Abstract

The documentary "Greed for Salmon" from the ZDF ARTE program on SPIEGEL TV, which was shown in a first stage in Germany, France, Spain and Italy, denounces the serious and complex environmental, health, cultural and social impacts caused by this producing and exporting industry that operates intensively in Norway and Chile. The salmon industry is a very powerful industry: the second in economic importance in Norway after oil, and the second in Chile, after mining.
