Abstract

This talks about the various boat designs that existed in India and the description for the different coast.This looks into the North-west coast comprising Baluchistan,Sind, Kutch and Kathiawar,the Bombay coast southward to Mangalore,Malabar and Tranvancore,the Gulf of Mannar,Palk Bay and Strait,the East Coast northwards of Point calimere,the Maldives and the Laccadive islands and the Andaman and Nicobar islands boat designs and how these boats helped in sea trade.
