Abstract

In its decision 92/16 of 26 May 1992, the Governing Council requested the Administrator to submit to the Council at its special session (1993) specific proposals that might emerge from the review of the internal capacity of UNDP and from the recommendations of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) and the deliberations of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) participants meeting and to report on proposals on specific ways and means to combat desertification and drought.
