Abstract

This document provides information on the moratorium of large-scale pelagic drift-net fishing state wise, and on issues of bycatch and discards, management of fishing capacity, reduction of incidental catch of seabirds in longline fisheries and on the conservation and management of sharks. This contains information provided by the states, specialized agencies of the United nations, regional and sub-regional fisheries bodies, other intergovernmental organizations and by NGOs on these issues.
