Abstract

Only by recognizing fishing rights that are socially sensitive and address the issues of labour, gender and human rights, can fishing communities, especially small-scale, traditional ones, be assured of social justice in the face of moves towards ecological and resource sustainability. These are some of the issues discussed in this dossier, which is a collection of articles from SAMUDRA Report, the triannual publication of the ICSF.
