Abstract

This report highlights the poverty stricken fishing communities in the coastal areas in Pakistan and recommends turning around the situation through education, community awareness programmes like training, developing an environmental ethic and improving technical skills and advocacy through strong civil society organisations for backing up their needs and representing them in front of governing bodies.
