Abstract

This report provides a basis for the Norwegian fisheries policy founded on a value chain. Improvements to the value chain, structural issues, the distribution and monitoring of resources, and research and development are all discussed in the light of the market challenges facing the industry. The main emphasis of the report is sea fisheries policy, although the discussion of market-related issues, research and skills also touches on the fish farming industry.
