Abstract

The overall theme of this review is research on the relationship between institutions and knowledge - in general, in terms of nature and the environment, and specifically in terms of fisheries. Fisheries co-management has two agendas a) to make fisheries management more rational and b) to make fisheries management more equitable by giving those people who have the most at stake in management decisions a greater say in those decisions.
